Job summary

Vaco is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for a Mission Viejo, CA, contract role focused on FP&A, forecasting, reporting, and analysis with accounting support. You will develop models, support close processes, and drive insights for leaders.

You will partner with business leaders, improve reporting accuracy, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles while maintaining GAAP discipline and strong Excel proficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of corporate FP&A, financial analysis, or public accounting experience.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis skills.
• Solid GAAP knowledge and financial statements understanding.
• Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and INDEX/MATCH.
• Experience with NetSuite and ERP/financial reporting systems.
• Ability to communicate financial information to finance and non-finance audiences.

Senior Financial Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join a growing finance and accounting team. This position will play a key role in financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis while also supporting select accounting activities.

The ideal candidate combines strong FP&A experience with a solid understanding of accounting and enjoys turning financial data into meaningful insights for business leaders. This is a contract opportunity that will be 6-8 months with a possibility of extension/hire.

Responsibilities

• Experience working with ERP and financial reporting systems
• Experience with NetSuite and related reporting/planning tools strongly preferred
• Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to communicate financial information effectively to both finance and non-finance audiences
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
