About The Role
As a CBRE Finance Sr. Manager, you will manage a team responsible for producing all output associated with Finance Strategy and Operations, including the annual budget preparation, monthly forecasts, tactical planning, management reporting, and other special projects.
What You’ll Do
Provide formal supervision to employees. Supervise the training and development of staff and recruiting and hiring of new employees. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
Coordinate and lead the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department target dates. Mentor and coach as needed.
Drive the budgeting process, forecasting process, tactical planning process, and standard management reporting.
Approve balance sheet account analysis, statement of cash flows and supporting schedules, and standard consolidated reporting packs.
Review and approve all monthly journal entries.
Produce a variety of routine and ad hoc financial reports, packages and pro forma analyses.
Implement research, development and preparation of accounting policy and procedures.
Lead special projects and prepare presentations for management.
Exchange and explain difficult information, conveys performance expectations, and handles issues.
Influence parties of shared interests to reach agreement.
Apply knowledge of own field and how own subject area integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of proven experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
Ability to own the exchange of critical, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and balance problems.
Leadership skills to empower the team to achieve broad operational targets.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Extensive interpersonal skills and a sophisticated inquisitive mentality.
Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
