Position Summary:
TheSenior Field Service Technicianwill be responsible for the safe, accurate and professional operation of the crew, provide direction to the Operators, in charge of field operation and is responsible for all of the equipment. The Sr. Field Service Technician executes valve and hydrant operations and maintenance in the field as well as data collection activities.
What your day will look like as a Senior Field Service Technician:
The Senior Field Service Technician will be working outdoors in various types of weather, traffic ,and environmental conditions to assess, operate, and maintain valves and fire hydrants. Physical demands may include, but are not limited to, frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, standing for a prolonged period of time, regular bending, lifting, and reaching.
This position operates on a standard day shift M-F.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty below satisfactorily.
Support tool/equipment assembly and disassembly under supervision, including cleaning tools and equipment.
Actively participate in onsite safety and planning meetings to review safety risks and areas of concern based on planning documentation and onsite observations.
Keeps site clean and free from potential tripping and safety hazards.
Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, MVR, and DOT physicals
Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on organizational needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED
Previous experience working in a field-based or construction environment.
Strong communication skills; must be able to understand technical operating procedures, ask questions, and share observations (primary language in the work environment is English.)
Goodunderstanding oftechnology and/or mechanics and the ability to problem-solve.
Valid driver’s licensewith a reasonable driving record.
Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and DOT physical.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Up to 25%
