Job summary

Robert Bosch Group is seeking a technical customer support specialist in Sunnyvale to serve as the primary technical contact, coordinate responses, and assist customers in proper design-in of Bosch products.

You will collaborate with multiple Bosch product areas and engineering teams, document progress, and support pre-sales activities with strong communication skills and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years in design or applications engineering, preferably with semiconductors/MEMS or automotive electronics.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to build relationships quickly in a global team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first technical contact for customers and coordinate responses.
• Collaborate with PAS/PAI/PAP teams to obtain and communicate required information.
• Assist customers in designing Bosch products using application knowledge.
• Lead customer meetings and document development progress (OPL).
• Capture customer requirements and relay them to Bosch teams including Product Management.
• Support quality issues with samples during development before SOP.
• Build strong relationships by working with engineering teams.
• Lead technical presentations to assist pre-sales activities.

Job Description

Key Responsibilites:

• Responsible for technical customer support and coordination. First point of technical contact for customers - provide technical feedback and solutions per product training material and published customer approved application notes and datasheets (TCDs).
• Where necessary, work withProduct Area Sensors (PAS),Product Area ICs (PAI), orProduct Area Power Semiconductors (PAP)teams to request theappropriate informationand communicate tocustomer.
• Using application knowledge,assistscustomerin correctlydesigning inBosch products.
• Coordinates technical customer meetings with theappropriate Boschteam members, taking the lead to document the OPLwhencustomer development lead is in the region.
• Obtain customer's requirements and communicates them to the Bosch teams includingProductManagement.
• Responsible for supporting customer quality issues related to samples provided during their development phase, prior to SOP.
• Establish customer relationships by working closely with engineering teams.
• Assistin pre-selling activities of components at customers by leading technical presentations, providing information and support.
• Provide informationon applicationspecific customer trends, innovation, market, and competition.
• Supportdevelopmentof local customer communication information (verbal and written) innativelanguage.
• Customer PPAP coordination and support asrequired
• Assure customer technical satisfaction from the first engagement, through design-in phase and finally series production
• Support sample warehouse coordination for components and development kits including testing and packaging of customer kits prior to delivery.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience working in a design and/or application engineering role.
• Strong communicationskillsverballyand written.Mustbe able to build relationships quickly with internal and external stakeholders with the ability to work both independently and as part of a global team.
• 5+ years of design and/or application engineering experience with semiconductors, MEMS devices, and/or Electronic Control Modules with an understanding of the automotive electronics market.
• Knowledge of vehicle systemsincluding,navigation and mobility, ADAS, and safety systems including airbag systems.
• Ability to travel nationally/internationally asrequiredfor customer meetings, training, and customer support. May berequiredto spend 2 weeks in Germany forinitialtechnical training.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of robotics inenvironmentsof manufacturing,humanoidand others.
• Experienced with electronic engineering tools such asoscilliscopes, that arerequiredfor product development.
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a clear understanding of the business environment as a supplier to Automotive Tier1’sand/orOEM‘s.

Candidates must live within commutable distance from theBosch Sunnyvale, CAfacility and be available to come into the office weekly (or asrequired).

Additional Information

We offer a competitive base salary for this position with a range in US-California of $160,000 - $175,000, along with an annual corporate bonus, and a long-term incentive bonus designed to reward sustained impact and contribution over time. Within the salary range, the individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
