Job summary

Robert Bosch Group is seeking an Application Resident Engineer to join our global team and support automotive OEM collaborations. You will troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and software systems with a focus on CAN and ADAS technologies, while working closely with customers and internal groups.

The role involves on-site testing, field validation, and active participation in cross-functional projects to deliver advanced mobility solutions and safe, reliable vehicle technology.

Qualifications

• Base: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering).
• 3+ years mobility-based controls/systems engineering with CAN experience.
• 1+ year experience with Automotive OEM applications and processes.
• Strong presentation skills for internal and customer audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical liaison between Bosch and automotive OEMs, on-site at customer locations.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues in electrical, electronic, and software systems using CAN.
• Conduct rigorous physical testing in lab and field environments with test vehicles.

Job Description

Robert Bosch is looking for a passionate Application Resident Engineer to become part of a well-established, successful, and dynamic global team. The selected individual will need to possess great electrical / electronic and /software engineering curiosity and have an outstanding mindset of customer service and cooperation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary technical liaison between Bosch and automotive OEMs, maintaining a high standard of customer service. Working hands‑on at customer sites to facilitate the integration of cutting-edge mobility technologies.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues involving electrical, electronic, and software systems by utilizing extensive experience with Control Area Network (CAN) systems.
• Conduct rigorous physical testing in both laboratory and field environments, which includes daily hands‑on interaction with test vehicles and managing the physical demands of standing or walking for extended periods.
• Communicate technical findings and project status through professional presentations and reports tailored for both internal global engineering teams and external customer stakeholders.
• Solid background in automotive engineering, sensor technologies, and software development, typically supported by a degree in engineering or a related field.
• Collaborate with global cross‑functional teams to provide field feedback on innovative automotive technologies, supporting the continuous improvement of mobility solutions through a mindset of engineering curiosity.
• UnderstandingofAdvanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
• Expertiseinradar portfolio: Long‑Range, Mid‑Range, Short‑Range, and Corner Radar
• Experience with Interior Sensing Radar, Occupant Monitoring, and Driver Monitoring solutions
• Vehicle ADAS integration, functional validation, performance evaluation, on‑road/controlled testing, & prototype / pre‑production support
• Radar fundamentals, sensor integration, calibration, diagnostics & radar‑based functions: ACC, AEB, LKA/LCA, BSD, RCTA, and APA
• Deep understanding of Radar hardware, software, calibration, diagnostics, and validation activities
• Proven support from concept development through launch, production, and field issue resolution
• Familiarity with tools like MATLAB/Simulink, CANalyzer, and programming languages such as C++ and Python, as well as knowledge of automotive safety standards like ISO 26262, is highly valuable.
• Strong analytical thinking, teamwork, and effective communication are vital soft skills for collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
• These abilities are crucial because ADAS engineers design and implement critical vehicle safety features, requiring accuracy, coordination, and rigorous testing to ensure road safety.

This position would provide opportunities for growth, international experiences, travel and exposure to innovative and cutting edge automotive technologies while working hands‑on in vehicles on site of some of the largest automakers in the world.

This position may be physically demanding, requiring applicant to be able to spend hours daily in a lab environment, walking and standing much of the time.

Qualifications

Base Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering)
• 3+years of experience in the field of mobility‑based controls / systems engineering with Control Area Network systems experience
• 1+ year experience withAutomotive OEM applications and process
• Proficient communication skills in both oral and written form
• Strong presentation skills to an internal team, as well as a customer audience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ Years experience in vehicle‑level calibration of radio frequency technologies
• 1+ year Experience in the field of Digital Key applications
• Proficiency with Python programming language
• Experience with automation tools
