Description
The Sr. Facility Operations Manager will assists the Exec. Director Facilities Management to oversee the staff and operations of the main campus engineering department and extended properties maintenance. The Sr. Facility Operations Mgr. would share responsibility with the Exec. Director for the overall day to day operations, planning, directing, coordinating and evaluation of the department including the development of department goals and objectives that are consistent with the CNMC mission, the management of personnel, preparing/monitoring of and accountability for the department budgets. Plans, schedules and supervised maintenance and repair work of multi-skilled trades-HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Locksmith, etc. Evaluates orders and coordinates and oversees installation and repairs/services of infrastructure systems, HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, electrical distributions and other building and campus utilities equipment. Works collaboratively with all levels of the hospital interdisciplinary team and promotes the team concept with their department and hospital wide. Interviews, hires, evaluates, counsels and terminates employees as per CNMC policy. Responsible for helping create an environment and culture that enables the organization to fulfill its mission by meeting or exceeding its goals, conveying the hospital mission to all staff, holding staff accountable for performance, motivating staff to improve performance, along with measurement, assessment and continuous improvement of the department's performance. The position will consult with the following standards: Joint Commission, DC Department of Health, EPA, DCRA, OSHA, Architects, Engineers, Construction Managers, Space Management, International codes & standards, and other regulatory agencies.
Qualifications
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is required. (Required)
Master's Degree Business Administration, Hospital Administration, Public Administration or other related field (Preferred)
Minimum Work Experience
10 years progressive program/project management experience preferably in hospital construction, plant operations/maintenance(installation, construction and maintenance of buildings, equipment and utilities. (Required)
Required Skills/Knowledge
Expertise in the areas of Joint Commission regulations including the requirements of Life Safety, Environment of Care Standards and Statement of Conditions.
Preferred demonstrated leadership and management skills.
Moderate to advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, data analysis, and business case development.
Excellent written, verbal communication and public speaking skills.
Must be able to work independently in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
Ability to handle several projects/programs simultaneously.
