Job summary

ID Logistics US is seeking a Sr Facilities Manager to lead maintenance and strategic planning for our physical assets. The role ensures a safe, efficient work environment across ID Logistics and affiliate sites, with budget oversight, vendor coordination, and regulatory compliance.

The position is remote with a strong preference for Atlanta-area candidates, offering travel up to 50% to 50+ USA sites, a competitive salary, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent with extensive management experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 10+ years of facilities management experience, preferably in 3PL, warehousing, supply chain or distribution center environments.
  • 4+ years in a corporate-level facilities leadership role.
  • Proven multi-site facilities management experience within warehousing and distribution centers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of corporate and customer facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and tenant improvements.
  • Develop and manage facilities budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Assist with contract negotiations and manage third-party vendor relationships.
  • Ensure facilities compliance with local, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Plan and execute facility-related projects such as renovations, relocations, site openings/closures, and permitting.
  • Collaborate on sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency practices.
  • Supervise facilities staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Assist with emergency response plans for facility-related incidents.
  • Report to senior management on facility performance, projects, inspections, and budgets.

Job description

The Sr Facilities Manager is responsible for developing and overseeing the maintenance and strategic planning of the organization’s physical assets. This role ensures a safe, efficient, and functional work environment across all ID Logistics and affiliate customer facilities. Key responsibilities include budget planning, vendor management, project execution, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong organizational skills and an ownership mindset.

Location: Remote

Work Schedule: First Shift with 24/7 365 emergency response expectations (We have a strong preference to hire this role in the Atlanta area). We are hiring for 1 position at this time.

Travel Specifics: Up to 50%+ travel to 50+ USA sites.

Competitive Total Rewards: Competitive salary of $104,000-$150,000, plus bonus, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, generous PTO, sick time, and company holidays. Compensation is based on experience, skills, and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Operations: Oversee daily operations of corporate and customer facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and tenant improvements.

  • Vendor Coordination: Assist with the negotiation of contracts and manage third‑party vendor relationships.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all facilities comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to health, safety, and the environment.
  • Project Management: Help plan and execute facility‑related projects such as renovations, relocations, site openings/closures, and permitting.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Collaborate with internal partners to implement eco‑friendly and sustainable operations practices.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise facilities staff, including hiring, training, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Assist with developing and maintaining emergency response plans for facility‑related incidents.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on facility performance, projects, inspections, and budgets.
Working Conditions
  • Primarily office‑based (remote) with regular travel to facility sites.
  • Occasional evening/weekend work may be required.
  • Physical demands include walking, standing, and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent combined with additional relevant management experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 10+ years of experience in facilities management is required ideally within the 3PL, warehousing, supply chain, or distribution center industry.
  • 4+ years of experience in a corporate‑level facilities leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing multi‑site (multiple sites) facilities within warehousing and distribution centers across various locations is required for internal and external candidates.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Available to be on‑call for facility‑related emergencies 24/7 365.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform site inspections as needed.
Technical & Professional Skills
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
  • Proficiency with CMMS and other facilities management software tools.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, financial planning, and cost control.
  • Experience with vendor contract negotiation and management.
  • Familiarity with sustainability and energy efficiency practices.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and building code compliance.
  • Skilled in managing tenant improvements, space planning, and renovations.

Preferred Qualifications
