Job summary

FITS, LLC is seeking an experienced facilities engineer to support engineering services in the Facilities area. You will design and oversee clean rooms, chiller plants, and compressed air systems while coordinating with architects/engineers and handling cost estimates.

The role involves site visits (5-10% travel), reading blueprints, and implementing integrated building solutions, BAS like Tridium/Niagara or Siemens, and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with drawings and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Building Automation Systems) and 4 years of related medical devices/pharma experience
• Shift: Day shift; available for other shifts if needed
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and schematics
• Experience with integrated building solutions: temp control, critical env monitoring, power, alarming, lighting, access control
• Tridium/Niagara or Siemens BAS experience
• Facility commissioning experience

Responsibilities

• Supporting design/build of clean rooms, chiller plants, compressed air plants
• Plans, designs and oversees the reconfiguration, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities
• Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility
• Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings
• Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition
• Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs
• Inspects or directs the inspection of construction, installation progress, and commissioning to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules
• Travel to other sites 5-10% depending on project needs

• Shift: Day shift(must be available other shifts if needed).
• Experience in:
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, shop drawings, and schematics
  • Experience with integrated building solutions including temperature control, critical environment monitoring, power management and alarming, zoned lighting control and facility access control
  • Tridium/Niagara or Siemens BAS experience
  • Facility Commissioning experience
