Job summary

FITS, LLC is a service provider delivering instrumentation, utilities, and engineering support. The role focuses on advanced instrument calibration for process and utility systems, device troubleshooting, and maintaining calibration documentation.

The candidate will manage spare parts, update loops and schematics, and help develop training and SOPs across plant operations, with an emphasis on cGMP training and compliant processes.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree with four years of exposure in a GMP-regulated industry.
  • Experience in calibrations, repairs and troubleshooting of chlorination equipment.
  • Review and maintenance of chlorination equipment.
  • Calibration of chlorination equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced calibrations of instruments on process and utility equipment.
  • Maintain an up-to-date working spare parts inventory system for the equipment/systems.
  • Ensure calibration paperwork, instrument files and work order documentation is completed with accurate information.
  • Evaluate current calibration cycles and optimize the calibration program.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed training program for the team to grow knowledge across plant areas.
  • Develop, revise, and review SOPs for related areas.
  • Design, install, configure, and start-up multiple instruments and microprocessor-based controllers used for process control.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software problems for computer-based process control systems.
  • Start-up of new equipment to ensure it meets instrumentation design specs.
  • Assist with development and lead in the execution of validation documents for instrumentation equipment.

  • Experience in:
    • Calibrations, repairs, and troubleshooting ofchlorination equipment.
    • Review and maintenance of chlorination equipment.
    • Calibration of chlorination equipment.

AS A PIECE OF FITS, YOU WILL: (The day-to-day on the job)
  • Perform advanced calibrations of instruments on process and utility equipment.
  • Maintain an up-to-date working spare parts inventory system for the equipment/systems.
  • Ensure that calibration paperwork, instrument files and work order documentation is completed with accurate information.
  • Evaluate the current calibration cycles and make appropriate changes to optimize the calibration program.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed training program for the team in order to develop team's knowledge in all areas of the plant.
  • Develop, revise, and review SOPs for related areas.
  • Design, install, configure, and start-up multiple instruments and microprocessor based controllers used for process control.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software problems for computer based process control systems.
  • Maintain an up-to-date cGMP training book.
    Maintain, interpret, and update loop sheets, electrical schematics, P&ID's, I/O wiring, and panel drawings.
  • Complete PLC, DCS, BMS, and MMI programming and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Start-up of new equipment to ensure it meets all instrumentation design specifications.
  • Assist with the development and lead in the execution of validation documents for instrumentation equipment.
