Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Round Rock is seeking a Sr. Facilities Assistant to coordinate the daily operations of the facilities management team onsite in Round Rock, TX.

You will maintain a safe, functional, and efficient work environment and oversee building maintenance, repairs, and services. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance for HVAC, electrical, and structural systems, coordinating vendor service requests, and space planning for office moves.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years' experience in industrial and/or manufacturing maintenance.
  • Advanced knowledge of facility maintenance processes, building systems and safety protocols.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex maintenance issues.

Responsibilities

Your Challenge:

The Sr. Facilities Assistant is responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the facilities management team. You will maintain a safe, functional and efficient work environment, ensuring that the physical infrastructure, equipment and services within the facility are operating smoothly. The Facilities Assistant will perform a variety of duties related to building maintenance, repair and overall facilities support.

Performs preventative maintenance and repairs for the facility infrastructure, including HVAC, structural, mechanical and electrical systems. Coordinates the day-to-day operations of facility-related service requests including, but not limited to, spot painting, cleaning, construction, exterior cleanup, audio-visual (AV) set up for meetings or conferences, inter-office mail deliveries, wastepaper recycling, and stocking of employee break areas. Leads troubleshooting efforts and coordinates complex repairs with external vendors and service providers. Ensures routine maintenance schedules are adhered to. Operates site equipment as needed. Leads space planning and layout changes for office relocations, new workstation setups, and upgrades. Ensures that all common areas are maintained to high standards of functionality and cleanliness. Relocates furniture and office equipment as required. Maintains detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs and facilities-related activities. Prepares reports for management on facility performance, issues and resolutions. Maintains proper documentation such as power diagrams, network diagrams, space usage, etc. Assists with the editing of media materials.

What You Bring:

Due to the nature of work performed at this site, incumbents must be a U.S. Person.

  • 2 to 5 years' experience in industrial and/or manufacturing maintenance.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Advanced knowledge of facility maintenance processes, building systems and safety protocols.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex maintenance issues.
