Job Description
Supports policies and procedures to ensure optimal functioning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Monitors daily building operations of all systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and safety to ensure reliability. Tracks work orders for quality, adherence to service standards, and budgeted guidelines. Directs training of supervisors and employees in best practices for maintenance work, service and safety standards, and local laws and regulations. Oversees vendors or contractors engaged for Facility and HVAC projects.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise the maintenance and repair of all HVAC equipment at all campuses of The Potter’s House to ensure optimal operation. This includes maintenance of the McQuay chiller system, and installation, maintenance, and repair of computerized electric pneumatic and digital control devices related to HVAC, heat control, such as fan coil units, Air Handlers, filters, motors, belts, etc.
- Ensure team members understand their roles and conduct regular operational reviews, focusing on maintaining high performance and up-to-date dashboards.
- Meet financial, productivity, and safety targets; suggest building and grounds improvements.
- Collaborate with real estate and operations teams on build-out planning and facilities commissioning.
- Plan and lead the work of subordinate employees with independent decision-making skills.
- Coordinate and supervise construction and renovation projects related to HVAC.
- Compile annual operations budget information.
- Arrange for procurement of supplies, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Coordinate external contractors for installations, repairs, or maintenance.
- Respond to emergency calls and be on-site during emergencies if necessary.
- Maintain high commitment and flexible availability for various events and services.
- Communicate effectively with employees and the public.
- Conduct routine inspections and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Develop and adhere to schedules; maintain records and prepare reports.
- Operate equipment such as hand tools, laptops, and diagnostic hardware.
- Respond to work requests and troubleshoot HVAC systems, electrical wiring, and components.
- Participate in safety programs and ensure safe work practices.
- Maintain parts inventory and delegate work requests appropriately.
- Perform other tasks as assigned and develop HVAC staff training and coaching.
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 10 years in multi-city facilities operations and management.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems & maintenance (HVAC, fire safety, lighting, electrical, plumbing, EV charging stations).
- EPA Certification, valid Driver's License, registration with TDLR, OSHA 10 Certification.
Qualifications:
- Experience with chill water, hot water systems, refrigerated chilling, direct expansion air conditioning, and gas-fired heating systems.
- Experience with HVAC energy management systems.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Heavy lifting (45-70 lbs), repetitive bending, reaching, grasping, walking, standing, climbing, and working at heights.
- Good depth perception and hearing ability.
- Work performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to identify colors.

Schedule:
