Job summary

Bachelor's degree holder with water/wastewater estimation experience is sought to join our Indianapolis-area team. You will develop estimates for treatment facilities, pump stations, and piping, while performing takeoffs and pricing for self-performed work.

You will evaluate subcontractor proposals, study project phasing and constructability, and prepare budgets. Collaboration with operations and project teams will drive successful project delivery from bid through handoff.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating water and wastewater construction projects.
• Strong ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and contracts.
• Proficient in cost analysis, quantity takeoffs, and scope review.
• Familiarity with self-performed structures and heavy civil methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates for water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, piping, and related infrastructure.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and price self-performed labor, materials, and equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure complete scope coverage.
• Evaluate phasing, staging, logistics, constructability, and sequencing of projects.
• Develop preliminary schedules to support estimating efforts.
• Identify risks, opportunities, and value-engineering ideas for cost savings.
• Participate in bid reviews with operations and project management.
• Prepare detailed project budgets and handoffs to the project team.
• Support subcontractor and supplier buyout after award.
• Collaborate with operations to set up projects for successful execution.

We are looking for an experiencedWater/Wastewater Estimator to join our team. You'll play a key role in pursuing and planning water and wastewater infrastructure projects, developing accurate, competitive estimates and partnering closely with operations and project management from bid through project handoff.

We're looking for someone who understands water/wastewater construction and self-performed work and can evaluate scope, constructability, risk, and cost—not just perform takeoffs.

What You'll Do:

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• Experience estimating water and/or wastewater construction projects.
• Experience with self-performed structural concrete and/or heavy civil construction.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, sequencing, and productivity.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong quantity takeoff, cost analysis, and scope review skills.
• Experience with HCSS, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and On-Screen Takeoff preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
