Job summary

B&B Concrete in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Estimator to lead the planning and bidding of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will develop accurate estimates, perform takeoffs, and partner with operations from bid through handoff.

You will evaluate scope, constructability, risk, and cost, while coordinating with project teams to ensure complete coverage and competitive proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Experience estimating water and wastewater projects.
• Experience with self-performed structural concrete and heavy civil construction.
• Strong understanding of means, methods, sequencing, and productivity.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong quantity takeoff, cost analysis, and scope review skills.
• Experience with HCSS, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and On-Screen Takeoff preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates for water and wastewater facilities, pumps, piping, and related infrastructure.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and price self-performed labor, materials, equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Evaluate project phasing, staging, logistics, constructability, and sequencing.
• Develop preliminary schedules to support estimating efforts.
• Identify project risks, value-engineering ideas, and cost-saving strategies.
• Participate in bid reviews with operations and project management.
• Prepare detailed project budgets and handoffs to the project team.
• Support subcontractor and supplier buyout following award.
• Partner with operations and project teams to set projects up for successful execution.

We are looking for an experiencedWater/Wastewater Estimator to join our team. You'll play a key role in pursuing and planning water and wastewater infrastructure projects, developing accurate, competitive estimates and partnering closely with operations and project management from bid through project handoff.

We're looking for someone who understands water/wastewater construction and self-performed work and can evaluate scope, constructability, risk, and cost—not just perform takeoffs.

What You'll Do:
