LRSolutions, LLC is seeking a Sr. Estimator (Mechanical/Civil/Structural) for its Houston-area projects. This onsite role supports a growing portfolio of industrial EPC and data center construction with emphasis on piping and mechanical systems.

The candidate will lead cost estimates, perform material takeoffs, review drawings, and collaborate with engineering and project teams to develop lump-sum, unit-rate, and time-and-materials proposals. Minimal travel required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or 10 years’ experience.
• 10+ years estimating experience in industrial construction, with piping focus.
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural methods and cost drivers.
• Proficiency with Trimble Accubid and Excel.
• Ability to read P&IDs, isometrics, and drawings.
• Experience with EPC or design-build delivery models preferred.
• Limited travel for pre-bid activities.

Responsabilités

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, structural, and mechanical scopes with emphasis on piping and mechanical systems.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop pricing using Trimble Accubid and Excel.
• Review drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy of estimates.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, and construction teams to validate assumptions.
• Develop pricing for lump sum, unit rate, and time-and-materials proposals.
• Develop construction schedules in MS Project.
• Analyze subcontractor quotes and maintain estimating standards.
• Identify risks, exclusions, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Support bid reviews, reconciliations, and post-bid handoffs.
• Maintain estimating databases and cost data.

Location: Channelview, TX

Fully onsite. 40-45 hours week M - F. Minimal travel.

About this Role

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Estimator (Mechanical/Civil/Structural) to join our team in Houston, TX to support a growing portfolio of large-scale construction projects, primarily within the rapidly expanding data center market. Additional projects span the chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, and other heavy industrial sectors.

The Senior Estimator will play a key role in developing accurate, competitive cost estimates for EPC and design-build projects. This position requires a deep understanding of industrial construction methods, material takeoffs, labor productivity, and cost controls.

What You'll Do

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, structural, and mechanical construction scopes, with primary emphasis on piping and mechanical systems
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, and equipment pricing using Trimble Accubid and Microsoft Excel
• Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents to ensure accurate and complete estimates
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, and construction teams to validate assumptions and execution strategies
• Develop pricing for lump sum, unit rate, and time-and-materials proposals
• Develop construction schedules in Microsoft Project
• Analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes, ensuring alignment with project scope and estimating standards
• Identify project risks, exclusions, and value-engineering opportunities
• Support bid reviews, estimate reconciliations, and post-bid handoff meetings
• Maintain estimating databases, historical cost data, and productivity benchmarks

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. OR 10 years experience in lieu of degree.
• 10+ years of estimating experience in industrial construction, with a strong focus on mechanical/piping scopes
• Strong working knowledge of civil and structural construction methods and cost drivers
• Advanced proficiency with Trimble Accubid and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, isometrics, civil drawings, and structural plans
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience supporting EPC or design-build project delivery models, preferred
• Minimal travel for pre-bid site visits.
