Job summary

Acloché LLC is seeking a Sr. Estimator (Mechanical/Civil/Structural) to join our Houston-area team, with work primarily onsite at Channelview, TX.

You will develop detailed estimates for large-scale EPC and data center projects, focusing on piping and mechanical systems, using Trimble Accubid and Excel. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of industrial estimating experience, proficiency in Accubid and MS Excel, and the ability to interpret complex drawings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of experience in lieu of degree.
• 10+ years estimating experience in industrial construction, focusing on mechanical/piping.
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural construction methods and cost drivers.
• Advanced proficiency with Trimble Accubid and Excel.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, isometrics, civil drawings and structural plans.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience supporting EPC or design-build project delivery models preferred.
• Minimal travel for pre-bid site visits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, structural, and mechanical scopes with emphasis on piping.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, and equipment pricing using Accubid and Excel.
• Review drawings and specs to ensure accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, and construction teams to validate assumptions.
• Develop pricing for lump sum, unit rate, and time-and-materials proposals.
• Develop construction schedules in MS Project.
• Analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for alignment with scope and standards.
• Identify risks, exclusions, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Support bid reviews, estimate reconciliations, and post-bid handoffs.
• Maintain estimating databases and cost benchmarks.

About this Role

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Estimator (Mechanical/Civil/Structural) to join our team in Houston, TX to support a growing portfolio of large-scale construction projects, primarily within the rapidly expanding data center market. Additional projects span the chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas, and other heavy industrial sectors.

The Senior Estimator will play a key role in developing accurate, competitive cost estimates for EPC and design-build projects. This position requires a deep understanding of industrial construction methods, material takeoffs, labor productivity, and cost controls.

What You'll Do

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, structural, and mechanical construction scopes, with primary emphasis on piping and mechanical systems
