Sr. Epic Administration | Full Time | Remote

POSITION WILL HAVE THE ABILITY TO WORK REMOTE.

CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCAL TO THE STATE OF MICHIGAN.

DESCRIPTION:
Under the general direction of the Project Manager, Manager, or the Director, formulates and designs the Epic systems security framework based on user needs and a solid understanding of Epic software, including profiles, roles, menus, and security classes. The ideal candidate will have significant experience using analytical skills to research and evaluate options to provide clients with high-quality, efficient business processes and solutions that promote efficiency and enterprise-wide standardization. Must demonstrate the ability to mediate and bridge the relationship between technical and business stakeholders without compromising the needs of the solution users and the strategic goals of the organization.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in one or more application capabilities and features for users, owners, and administrators.
  • Stay updated on new Epic security functionalities across applications.
  • Coordinate security-related activities across physical, infrastructure, and application teams.
  • Make access decisions in collaboration with application coordinators/analysts and design system-level access.
  • Establish ownership and change delegation guidelines.
  • Limit system access to authorized staff and secure remote access.
  • Ensure regular password changes and establish user passwords at the OS level as needed.
  • Create and maintain security classifications within Epic software.
  • Develop procedures for new user login, passwords, and security training.
  • Implement procedures for inactivating users no longer authorized.
  • Create test scenarios and plans to verify client requirements are met.
  • Participate in technical reviews to verify change intent.
  • Provide support and escalation responses to production issues, perform root cause analysis.
  • Assign work and mentor less experienced team members.
  • Ensure proper documentation and timely delivery of artifacts and deliverables.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience required.
  • Five (5) years of healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience with at least two major Epic implementations or upgrades.
  • Experience documenting business requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Flexible, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
