Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Sr. Environmental Health & Safety Engineer to develop and manage comprehensive EHS programs across the site. You will lead audits, training, regulatory compliance, and incident investigations, driving improvements and a strong safety culture with cross-functional teams.

This role requires 5+ years in EHS within manufacturing, a Bachelor's degree, and knowledge of OSHA/EPA and ISO standards; excellent communication and data skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS, Safety, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing or electronics.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations and ISO 14001/45001.
• Proven ability to conduct audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication and training skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS management systems, policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA) and Jabil's global EHS standards.
• Conduct regular EHS audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards, evaluate compliance, and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate EHS incidents, accidents, and near misses, determine root causes, and implement preventative measures to avoid recurrence.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs to employees at all levels, ensuring understanding and adherence to safety protocols and environmental practices.
• Manage environmental permits, waste management programs, air emissions, wastewater discharge, and chemical management to ensure regulatory compliance and minimize environmental footprint.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and human resources, to integrate EHS considerations into all business activities.
• Monitor and analyze EHS performance metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to management, identifying trends and recommending strategic improvements.
• Stay abreast of new and emerging EHS regulations, technologies, and best practices to ensure Jabil's EHS programs remain current and effective.
• Act as a technical resource and subject matter expert on EHS matters for employees and management.
• Participate in emergency response planning and drills, and provide support during crisis situations.

How will you get here?

• 5+ years of progressive experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety roles, preferably within a manufacturing or electronics industry.
• Bachelor's degree in EHS, Safety, Engineering or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal and state EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
• Proven experience in developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs and management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis, risk assessments, and data analysis.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and influence diverse groups.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to EHS management.

The pay range for this role is $65,500 - $117,900. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
