How You Will Make An Impact
  • Provide technical leadership related to environmental matters.
  • Function as an available point of contact with clients on air quality projects and ensure a high level of client service.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, permit applications, and compliance reports.
  • Perform and review emissions calculations, sampling results, and regulatory analyses.
  • Communicate with clients and regulatory agencies to coordinate regulatory approvals.
  • Offer technical guidance and training to staff.
  • Prepare technical proposals and work plans defining scope of services, schedules and professional fees.
  • Develop and present project and technical presentations to clients, technical organizations, and in‑house staff.
  • Assist Division Director in developing business strategies and action plans for creating growth opportunities.
What You Bring to The Team
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering, or related degree, from a 4‑year accredited college or university.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in area(s) of environmental permitting and compliance including, but not limited to: NPDES permitting, stormwater management, Clean Air Act permitting and compliance, State and federal regulatory compliance, Joint Permit Applications, waste handling, and/or environmental due diligence.
  • Ability to organize technical material into comprehensive reports as well as perform QA/QC reviews on work products prepared by junior staff.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in mentoring and training junior staff.
  • Must have demonstrated collaborative approach to problem‑solving and have strong people skills for contact with clients and fellow engineers/technicians.
  • Accuracy, dependability, and strong organizational skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills: ability to manage multiple assignments at any given time.
  • May be required to perform job duties in the field and office, during non‑standard hours, as necessary; must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to and conduct field work at job sites/offices in Michigan.
  • Familiarity with Michigan regulations related to air and water resources.
  • Ability to travel for periodic site/client visits, project, and business development meetings.
