SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST (AIR)

Our client is a public entity who serves as a local government administration agency. They are seeking a SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST (AIR) to join their team in CLEAR LAKE HOUSTON AREA. This opportunity is a long-term, direct-hire, role with great benefits including an impressive 401K.

Compensation for this role is $100K+, depending on experience. Work hours are MONDAY-FRIDAY for an estimated 40 hours/week. This role is fully on-site and may require minimal travel within Houston Area.

*PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE in AIR COMPLIANCE is REQUIRED*

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Advise management on current and upcoming environmental laws and regulations related to air compliance.
• Ensure timely submission of all federal, state, and local regulatory reports.
• Support facility managers in maintaining environmental compliance.
• Help prepare permit applications/renewals, track permit reporting deadlines, and understand compliance requirements.
• Oversee sampling schedules to meet permit requirements (monthly, quarterly, annual).
• Assist with inspections, regulatory meetings, task forces, and public hearings.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Familiar with standards related to AIR, water, wastewater, and solid/hazardous waste.
• Basic understanding of biology, chemistry, and math relevant to treatment processes.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment plant operations.
• Capable of analyzing technical data and writing clear reports and applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

The Experience and Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree; REQUIRED
• 10+ years of AIR COMPLIANCE experience; REQUIRED
• Experience with SPCC, SWP, FRP, RCRA and TPDES, HUGE PLUS!
