Summary

As the Senior Engineering Manager (SEM), you will be responsible for leading a high-performing engineering group to support critical weapon system engineering processes from concept development to sustainment. The role involves setting and maintaining technical standards, providing leadership across the engineering organization, and ensuring program objectives align with technical, cost, and schedule goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a mid-sized engineering department, ensuring competency in Systems Engineering, Integration & Test, Electrical and Software Engineering, Mechanical Design, and Configuration/Data Management.
• Oversee recruiting, onboarding, career development, performance management, and employee training (~20% focus).
• Provide direct technical contributions to design, testing, risk management, and proposal development (~80% focus).
• Collaborate with Program Managers and Chief Engineers on architecture, design, and technology decisions.
• Ensure successful delivery of design artifacts, development models, and production units.
• Develop strategies for technology innovation and cross-program collaboration.
• Establish performance objectives and monitor engineering operations' success.
