Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Tissue Manufacturing at our Chester Plant. Electrical Engineers at Kimberly-Clark initiate, design, develop, optimize and problem solve manufacturing and supporting processes. Recognized for understanding application of technology and demonstrates ability to interface with team members. The ability to identify and resolve process and equipment problems, initiate creative and practical designs which meet expectations, implement engineering and scientific analysis principles, apply engineering standards and procedures, and document work to ensure information is retrievable.

Incumbent will report to the Sr. Asset Leader and receive direction in the form of specific objectives. Recognized for understanding application of technology and demonstrates ability to interface with team members.

In This Role, You Will
  • Design and Development: Initiate, design, develop and optimize the manufacturing asset and supporting processes to achieve unit objectives.
  • Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies, and guidelines. Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance, and other personnel.
  • Lead capital or major maintenance projects with a financial scope of up to $10 million from conception through commercialization.
  • Provide guidance in the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing equipment and processes to meet site objectives.
  • Develop expertise in applying engineering principles, scientific analysis, and project management, while advising others.
  • Identify complex technical issues and provide solutions to eliminate root causes.
  • Assist in developing others within your area of expertise, respecting diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Communicate effectively across all organizational levels, being informative, timely, complete, concise, candid, accurate, clear, and responsive.
  • Improve process capability to reduce defects and variability. Develop and implement products, processes, materials, systems, and procedures to meet business objectives.
  • Foster an environment where all team members are respected and motivated to contribute to achieving business results.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
  • 10+ years’ experience in technical or operational roles, or relevant scientific discipline with applicable experience.
  • Experience with power distribution, manufacturing control systems (PLCs, motor drives, HMI, DCS, safety systems, instrumentation).
  • Self-development and experience in various assignments preferred. Lean Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement experience desirable.
  • Proficiency in engineering/scientific analysis systems/tools.
  • Ability to translate electrical engineering knowledge into process and capacity improvements.
  • Experience working with external technical service providers.
