Job summary

Blattner Company is seeking an Engineer I – Electrical to support the design and execution of renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and battery storage. You will assist senior engineers, coordinate with internal teams, and help ensure designs meet client, company, and industry standards.

You will perform takeoffs, review drawings and specifications, and participate in design reviews to validate workmanship and conformance, while supporting safe, efficient installation during project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (ABET-accredited).
• EEG/EIT or FE certification is a plus; renewable energy experience preferred.
• Experience in electrical or mechanical construction in related industries is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior/Lead Project Engineers in design through completion.
• Align construction teams with design information, quantities, and specifications.
• Perform equipment/material takeoffs and review drawings/specifications.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

As an Engineer I – Electrical, you’ll support the design and execution of renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, and battery storage. You’ll assist senior engineers in managing third‑party engineering firms, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring designs meet client, company, and industry standards. Your work includes helping develop, test, and refine electrical components and systems, and supporting safe, efficient installation during project execution.

STEP INTO THE ROLE

• Assists the Senior and Lead Project Engineers to support internal engineering and other stakeholders with the project design through completion.
• Aligns construction teams to ensure they have the necessary design information, quantities, and specifications to build the projects.
• Performs equipment/material takeoffs and drawing/study/specification reviews and provides to the Senior and Lead Project Engineers.
• Participates in design reviews, ensures construction activities are following project drawings and specifications, and validates red‑line markups are complete and accurate.
• Supports the project design by ensuring the design meets the contractual requirements from client, company, and industry codes and standards.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or related field from an ABET‑accredited college (required).

WHAT SETS YOU APART

• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certificate or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certificate.
• Renewable energy experience (wind, solar, or BESS).
• Previous engineering, electrical, or mechanical construction field experience in a related industry (electrical, mechanical, heavy civil, industrial, utilities, power generation) preferred.

Salary range: $68,684.00 – $99,593.00. Individual compensation to be determined based on the applicant’s applicable experience and qualifications balanced against internal equity.
