Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a Sr. Engineer, Aerodynamics to advance the aerodynamic performance of our vehicles. You will contribute to design, development, and optimization of world-class airframes and systems, collaborating with design studio and cross-functional engineering teams.

Responsibilities include leading CFD analysis, wind tunnel testing, and translating results into production-ready solutions, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years for Senior Engineer; 8+ years for Technical Specialist.
  • Bachelor's or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Aerodynamics Engineering.
  • Automotive or motorsport experience required.
  • Strong CFD fundamentals, wind tunnel testing, and CAD modeling.
  • Proficiency with CFD software and wind tunnel/testing equipment.

We are currently seeking an experienced Sr. Engineer, Aerodynamics. You will join our Aerodynamics team to contribute to the aerodynamic performance development of our vehicles. The Role
  • Contribute to the aerodynamic design and development of world class vehicles
  • Design, optimize, test, validate and implement into production innovative aerodynamic solutions
  • Contribute to the development of robust yet efficient Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) processes to perform accurate vehicle aerodynamic simulations
  • Work interactively and efficiently within a multidisciplinary cooperative environment, directly interfacing with the design studio and other engineers, and working with suppliers
Qualifications
  • Generally, requires 5 + years of related experience for a Senior Engineer level and 8+years of related experience for a Technical Specialist level.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Aerodynamics Engineering
  • Experience in automotive or motorsport essential
  • Solid understanding of aerodynamic fundamentals, CFD techniques and wind tunnel testing
  • An ability to create CAD models to an excellent standard
  • Working knowledge of various CFD software
  • Experience with wind tunnel and track testing
  • A team player attitude and Outstanding communication and reporting skills

Salary Range

The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Base Pay Range (Annual)

$144,000—$198,000 USD

Compensation & Benefits

Lucid offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability coverage; paid time off; paid holidays, paid sick leave; and a 401(k) retirement plan. Hourly/non-exempt employees accrue up to 120 hours paid time off, and salaried/exempt employee accrue up to 160 hours paid time off. Eligible employees may also participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual cash incentive program. Incentive and equity awards, if applicable, are determined based on individual performance, role scope, market considerations, and overall company results, in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
