Job description

As the Engagement Manager for Professional Services at Storable, you will play a critical role in managing custom software development projects, as well as reporting and business intelligence (BI) solution development. You will serve as the primary liaison between customers, our customer-facing teams (sales and account management), and internal teams (product and engineering). Your focus will be on ensuring successful project delivery, maintaining customer satisfaction, and managing project scope, timelines, and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of custom software development projects and BI/reporting solutions.
  • Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and resource allocation.
  • Track project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion within scope, budget, and timeline.

Client Engagement:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to customers, and provide regular updates
  • Work closely with customer-facing teams, including Implementation & Training teams to understand customer needs and translate them into actionable project plans.
  • Collaborate with the product team to align custom development efforts with Storable’s product roadmap and strategic goals.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to provide clear requirements, direction, and support for development tasks.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Write detailed Statements of Work (SOW) that clearly outline project scope, deliverables, timelines, and costs.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including meeting notes, status reports, and change requests.
  • Develop and present project performance reports to internal stakeholders and customers.

Budget & Financial Management:

  • Manage project budgets, including tracking expenditures, forecasting costs, and ensuring profitability.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with project delivery.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered within budget, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Identify and implement best practices for project management and client engagement.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of processes within the Professional Services team to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Project Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on software development in complex technology environments
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including sales, account management, product, and engineering.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with budget management and financial forecasting.
  • Ability to write clear and comprehensive Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
