Job summary

RTX invites applications for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Strategic Communication Software team in Marlborough, MA. This onsite role focuses on real-time embedded systems using C++ and requires active security clearance. The relocation package is available for qualified candidates.

You will participate in cross-functional teams, manage full software lifecycle from architecture to field support, and work within SEI-recognized process maturity. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

Experience across the software development lifecycle.
Experience with software development using C++.
RTOS, embedded programming and processor/board design.
Linux, VxWorks or RTOS experience.
Ability to work in a team with engineers and stakeholders.
Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
STEM degree with 8+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 5 years.

Responsibilities

Participate in cross-disciplinary, agile teams on product development.
Own full lifecycle of software: architecture, design, integration, testing, and field support.
Work toward high maturity processes per SEI guidelines.
