Job summary

Resideo seeks an experienced embedded firmware engineer to design, develop and test firmware for connected home products. You will collaborate with systems, hardware, test and quality teams to deliver robust software from initial prototypes to mass production.

The role emphasizes hands-on firmware development in C/C++, FreeRTOS and Embedded Linux, with a focus on scalable architectures and reliable performance across devices in a connected ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in embedded systems with 4+ years firmware in C/C++.
• Hands-on with FreeRTOS and Embedded Linux environments.
• Proficiency with Visual Studio, IAR Embedded Workbench and related build/debug toolchains.
• Solid coding and scripting skills in C++ and Python.

Responsibilities

• Work on all aspects embedded software development projects – design, development, review, and test.
• Collaborate closely with a team of highly motivated peers.
• Design and develop embedded software/firmware for Connected Home products.
• Work with cross-functional teams to produce architecturally sound designs and coordinate delivery of software modules.
• Research technical problems and implement appropriate algorithm solutions.
• Explore tools and techniques to benefit firmware design, testing and management.
