Job summary

Aeva’s Scanning Systems team develops electro-mechanical and optical systems that enable our lidars to scan the world. We are seeking an engineer with expertise in controls, coupled with embedded programming and electronics experience, to design and implement controllers for our actuators.

You will perform hands-on design, implementation, evaluation and debugging of controller, actuator, and related electronics.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing control algorithms for actuators.
• Strong background in embedded software and hardware integration.
• Hands-on debugging of controllers in high-reliability systems.

The Scanning Systems team develops electro-mechanical & optical systems thatenable our lidars to scan the world. The team is multidisciplinary and works oncomplex problems that require high precision and high reliability - pushing the limits ofmaterials, controls, and manufacturing.We are looking for an engineer with expertise in controls along with strong embeddedprogramming and electronics experience. You will be responsible for designing andimplementing controllers for our actuators. You will be doing hands-on design,implementation, evaluation and debugging of the performance of the controller,actuator and associated electronics.
