Job Description

Hunt Electric, Inc of Salt Lake City, UT is searching for a full-time Sr. Project Manager to join our Electrical Project Management team.

Major Duties:

1. Bid and prepare cost estimates.
2. Prepare and oversee preconstruction budgets and schedules.
3. Process contract drawings and specifications and oversee the project to ensure compliance with these documents.
4. Manage change orders.
5. Prepare billings and ensure timely payments.
6. Monitor project material and labor costs and ensure accurate quality reporting.
7. Read, interpret, analyze, and forecast project cost reports to determine project status in terms of schedule and cost.
8. Be aware of unit costs and monitor daily progress on site against the project’s estimate.
9. Conduct project meetings as needed.
10. Coordinate, manage, and communicate with vendors, addressing issues like delivery, labor, schedule, and payment disputes.
11. Ensure positive cash flow and review project reports with Sr. Management accurately and promptly.
12. Perform other duties or work at other locations as assigned by the manager.

Minimum Qualifications

• Five or more years of electrical project management experience.
• Licensed electrician or electrical background required.
• Experience in commercial, mixed-use, or multi-dwelling projects.
• Ability to apply effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
• Thorough understanding of industry practices, standards, and their impact on project activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with department’s computer systems and software, and typing skills.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Experience managing projects and at least two years of electrical construction, design, finance, and management.
• Experience with Accubid, LiveCount, MS Project, and Bluebeam.
• Ability to manage multiple high-revenue projects.
• Design-Build experience.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position, typically Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am – 4:30 pm, and Friday 7:00 am – 2:00 pm.
