We are looking for a Principal Electrical Hardware Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team focused on developing cutting-edge hardware for next-generation IoT and smart utility systems. This is a senior-level, hands-on role that blends innovation with real-world impact.
Position: Electrical Hardware Engineer
Compensation: $105K - $120K
Location: Clemson, SC
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop high-performance board-level hardware for complex embedded and IoT systems.
Validate designs through lab testing using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.
Contribute to areas such as RF circuit integration, regulatory compliance, reliability testing, and component selection.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet quality, reliability, and manufacturability requirements.
Support manufacturing with fixture development, testing protocols, and troubleshooting.
Engage in continuous improvement of product design and engineering practices to support innovation and scalability.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
10+ years of hands-on experience in full lifecycle board-level electronic hardware development.
Deep expertise in MPU, MCU, NAND, LPDDR(x), and high-speed digital interfaces (USB, SDIO, QSPI, etc.).
Strong background with analog components such as LDOs, DC-DC regulators, and operational amplifiers.
Experience using and automating test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.) for system validation and debugging.
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex circuit issues at the board level.
RF circuit experience is a plus.
