Job Summary

The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading the design and development of complex electrical systems across various projects. This role requires technical expertise and strong project leadership. The candidate should be proficient in power system design, equipment procurement, and client interfacing, contributing to turnkey power solutions.

Job Duties

1. Prepare detailed preliminary electrical designs for design/build projects across diverse industries.
2. Design and specify power systems including load calculations, one-line diagrams, equipment sizing/selection, equipment layouts, lighting photometrics, and system controls.
3. Guide internal design efforts and collaborate with consultants to execute projects.
4. Perform arc flash and coordination studies using SKM Power Tools.
5. Support procurement efforts for major electrical equipment such as switchgear, generators, and UPS systems.
6. Assist in business development by identifying and implementing creative electrical solutions.
7. Conduct value engineering and propose cost-effective design alternatives.
8. Serve as the technical electrical expert in communications with clients, contractors, and vendors.
9. Uphold the company's values and commitment to customer satisfaction through integrity and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7 to 20 years of electrical engineering/design experience.
• Experience with BIM tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks.
• Familiarity with electrical analysis tools like ETAP and SKM.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Experience in an electrical engineering design consultancy.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification; support available for EIT and PE licensure.
• Experience developing custom design tools or scripts (e.g., spreadsheets, automation) is a plus.
