Amazon Web Services seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and innovate electrical distribution systems for its expanding data center footprint. The role involves creating construction document sets, ensuring regulatory compliance, collaborating with local agencies, and supporting construction and commissioning activities across multiple geographic sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Design data center electrical systems and collaborate with other disciplines to produce construction documents.
• Ensure designs meet quality and budget requirements.
• Work with local agencies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal requirements and building codes.
• Review and approve equipment submittals.
• Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests before and during construction.
• Work with commissioning teams to test and validate electrical system performance.
• Manage concurrent projects in multiple regions.
• Provide engineering evaluations, electrical system audits, and startup support at sites.
• Contribute creative, out‑of‑the‑box solutions.

Basic Qualifications

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission‑critical facilities such as data centers, power generation, or oil and gas.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment and facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineering or Architectural License.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region.
• Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production.
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.

Benefits & Compensation

Base salary range: $136,600.00 – $184,800.00 USD annually (varies by location).
