Job summary

Celltrion Branchburg, LLC seeks an experienced EHS professional to develop and manage high-risk safety programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and champion Operational Excellence across engineering, maintenance, facilities, and manufacturing.

You will lead contractor safety, deliver safety trainings (LOTO, fall protection, permit-to-work), and oversee inspections, audits, and incident follow-up to drive continuous site safety improvements. Hybrid work may be available.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA and regulatory requirements for high-risk safety programs.
• Organized and capable of implementing and enforcing EHS policies.
• Development and delivery of EHS training.
• 3–10 years’ experience in an EHS role.

Responsibilities

Position Brand Description:

This position provides technical support and expertise in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and processes, with a focus on high-risk safety programs. In addition, the successful candidate would be a champion for Operational Excellence and partner closely with key stakeholders across engineering, maintenance, facilities, utilities, manufacturing, and labs to meet compliance requirements and company objectives.

• Develop, implement, sustain, and own safety programs and training that support regulatory compliance including, working at heights, excavation/trenching, LOTO, permit-to-work, etc.
• Maintain all safety programs and training to satisfy federal/state/local requirements.
• Lead contractor safety management program, including qualification, onboarding, permit review, field oversight, and approval of safety plans for high-risk work activities.
• Serve as primary safety point of contact for projects from design review through construction and commissioning, to ensure risk reduction and compliance.
• Develop and deliver safety training for Lockout/Tagout, Fall Protection, Permit to Work etc. Obtain specialized certifications to deliver other advanced training courses such as First Aid/CPR/AED, OSHA 10/30, Competent Rigger, etc.
• Lead inspections, audits, and incident follow-up activities, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement in site safety performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams with the sustainment of EHS programs, including trending for improved site EHS performance.
• Support site operations as an area frontline EHS representative.
• Support the implementation of EHS technology systems and serve as a system administrator for EHS IT systems.
• Lead key elements of the EHS management system such as event deviation management processes, training, assessments/audits, change controls, business planning, and inspections.
• Continuously identify, monitor, and integrate internal and external best practices.

Basic Requirements:

• Knowledge of OSHA and other regulatory requirements and application of high-risk safety programs.
• Well organized and capable of developing, implementing, and enforcing environmental health and safety policies and procedures necessary to provide for a safe and healthy working environment.
• Development and effective delivery of EHS training.
• 3-10 years’ experience in an EHS role.

Additional Preferences:

• Experience working with external regulatory agency (OSHA, Building Codes, EPA).
• Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or other regulated environment

This role is exempt and the anticipated compensation for this role is $87,000 - $147,000

This is a banded role, and candidates will be placed within the range based on experience, skills, internal equity, and market considerations.
