Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a versatile Senior Software Engineer for the DPU Platform team in Massachusetts. The role focuses on embedded Linux, firmware, kernel drivers, and software distribution across a world-wide development team to deliver high-performance data center platforms.

You will develop system software, work with hardware teams, and optimize performance in pre-silicon and emulator environments, while maintaining strong software quality and lifecycle processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) with 6+ years of Linux/embedded systems experience.
• Experience with Linux bootloader and boot firmware (ATF/UEFI a plus).
• Strong background in Linux distributions, user space libraries, and update mechanisms.
• Willingness to learn new areas and solve tough problems.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to meet performance goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop system software components including firmware, kernel drivers, and user-space apps/libraries.
• Collaborate with hardware and design teams on SOC platform software.
• Assist global teams with DPU project bring-up and validation.
• Tackle complex system-level optimization and resource utilization challenges.
• Work in pre-silicon mode to architect, debug, and optimize performance using simulators and emulators.
• Participate across all product life-cycle stages with high standards for requirements and quality.
