Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer to join the DPU Platform team in the US. The role focuses on developing embedded system software, including firmware, boot-loaders, drivers, and user-space applications for advanced SOC designs.

You will collaborate with hardware and software teams across a global organization to deliver high‑performance software for data center and AI platforms. Candidates should have a CS/engineering degree and 2+ years in embedded software with C and Python,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of software development for embedded systems in C and Python.
• Strong understanding of the system software stack, incl. firmware, drivers, Linux kernel, and user-space.
• Familiarity with build tools such as gcc, git, make, bitbake, shell scripts, gerrit, and jenkins.
• Knowledge of ARMv8, ATF, and/or UEFI software is a strong plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience working in a global, matrixed team.

Responsibilities

• Develop system software components such as processor firmware, boot-loaders, kernel drivers/modules, and user space applications and libraries.
• Collaborate with hardware and product design teams to build software for sophisticated SOC platform designs.
• Support global teams with various customer and internal DPU projects.
• Address complex system-level optimization and resource utilization challenges.
• Engage in all levels of the product development lifecycle, prioritizing clear requirements, software quality, and performance.
• Work within a worldwide matrixed software development team, making a broad impact within our dynamic and technology-centric company.
