Job summary

Capital Health in the United States seeks a Sr. Director of Technology Transformation to lead modernization of IT, cloud adoption, and security strategy. Reporting to the CIO, this executive will align IT initiatives with clinical and operational goals.

You will mentor IT Security and Infrastructure Engineering leaders, drive PACS migration to the cloud, and foster agile, scalable, and compliant technology programs while managing budgets and vendor relations.

Qualifications

Position Overview

SUMMARY (Basic Purpose of the Job) The Sr. Director of Technology Transformation is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the organization's technology modernization, cloud adoption, and IT security strategy. Reporting directly to the CIO, this role fills critical gaps in strategic thinking, innovation, and execution across IT Security, Infrastructure Engineering, and Telecom/Platform modernization. The Sr. Director will provide strategic oversight to the IT Security and IT Infrastructure Engineering Directors, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, fostering collaboration, and introducing agile and innovative practices. This position will lead cross-functional initiatives to modernize telecom systems, migrate PACS platforms to the cloud, and enhance the organization’s overall IT security posture.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required.
• Master’s degree in IT Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, AWS or Azure Certified Solutions Architect, or ITIL are highly desirable.
• Experience: 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with expertise in security, infrastructure, and cloud platforms.
• Experience with cloud migration and telecom infrastructure modernization.
• Knowledge and Skills: Strong familiarity with regulatory and security frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001). Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and large-scale modernization projects. Deep expertise in cloud technologies, cybersecurity, telecom, and IT infrastructure. Ability to mentor and elevate team members, fostering collaboration and accountability.

Essential Functions

• Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for technology modernization, including cloud adoption, telecom engineering, and PACS migration.
• Drive innovation by identifying and implementing cutting-edge technologies and processes.
• Oversee the IT Security Director and ensure the security department aligns with enterprise goals.
• Strengthen the organization’s security posture by enhancing identity management, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Partner with security teams to integrate strategic GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) initiatives.
• Lead initiatives to migrate infrastructure, including PACS platforms, to cloud environments.
• Partner with the IT Infrastructure Engineering Director to adopt modern, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions.
• Foster agile approaches to design and implement innovative technology strategies.
• Oversee the modernization of telecom platforms, including voice, collaboration tools, and unified communications.
• Ensure telecom systems are cloud-ready, resilient, and aligned with organizational needs.
• Mentor IT Security and Infrastructure Engineering Directors to develop agility, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
• Support professional development and succession planning for key leadership roles.
• Partner with business, clinical, and operational leaders to align technology strategies with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with external vendors and partners to ensure successful delivery of modernization projects.
• Develop and manage budgets for security, infrastructure, and modernization programs.
• Optimize vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and high-quality technology solutions.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices for security and IT operations.
