The ideal candidate has deep aerospace or industrial distribution expertise, proven sales leadership at scale, and the ability to execute with strategic vision and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
  • 12+ years in Sales and Marketing.
  • Aerospace or industrial distribution experience required.
  • Surplus/material accusation knowledge and aftermarket distribution required.
  • Strong sales and organizational skills; able to work independently.
  • Proven head of sales experience with client-focused solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to price and margin quotes quickly in fast-paced env.

Responsibilities

  • Develops long-term sales strategies aligned with corporate objectives, including new market entry and major account expansion.
  • Leads and scales a high-performing sales leadership team, fostering accountability and customer-centric selling.
  • Oversee enterprise-level customer relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive year-over-year growth.
  • Oversee preparation of quotes, orders, bids, contract language, forecasts and customer service metrics.
  • Designs strategy to deliver quarterly and annual revenue goals and objectives.
  • Generates and presents strategic sales plans, account plans, and forecasts.
  • Provides timely revenue forecasts and status of pursuits and proposals.
  • Drives revenue delivery on target per annual plan.
  • Interacts with internal departments such as Customer Service, Purchasing, Finance, Quality and Operations.
  • Oversees order fulfillment and customer service activities.
  • Performs quality work within deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

We Are Looking For

The Senior Director, Sales will lead the strategic direction, performance, and expansion of FDH’s sales organization across key markets and customer segments. This leader will be responsible for driving sustainable revenue growth, managing a high-performing sales team, and cultivating strategic relationships with top-tier customers. Reporting to the executive leadership team, the Senior Director will shape go-to-market strategies, influence product and service offerings, and own key metrics including revenue, margin, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in aerospace or industrial distribution, a strong track record of salesleadership at scale, and a hands-on ability to execute with both strategic vision and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
  • Develops and implements long-term sales strategies aligned with corporate objectives, including new market entry, strategic partnerships, and major account expansion
  • Leads, mentors, and scales a high-performing sales leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer-centric selling
  • Oversee enterprise-level customer relationships, negotiate complex contracts, and drives strategic deals that contribute significantly to year-over-year growth
  • Oversee the preparation of sales quotations, sales orders, long-term/contract bids, contract language, part classification for investment, monthly metrics, annual customer forecasting/sales budgeting and customer service measurements
  • Designs and manages the team’s strategy and direction to deliver the quarterly and full-year revenue goals and objectives
  • Generates, maintains, and presents strategic sales plans, account plans, sales funnels, capture plans and order forecasts
  • Provides timely forecasts of revenue, business capture, sales and orders booking, status of pursuits and proposals
  • Contributes and drives revenue delivery on target in accordance with committed annual plan
  • Interacts and coordinates with internal departments including Customer Service, Purchasing, Finance, Quality and Operations
  • Drives growth and exceeds the sales plan through a balanced allocation of resources and sales strategy
  • Creates and maintains overall Customer Satisfaction through feedback & assurance of clear and consistent communication between the customer and the leadership team
  • Reviews new contracts and contributes to the development of new business opportunities
  • Develops business cases, proposal strategies and leads overall proposal activities for customers' Requests for Proposal
  • Identifies key customer challenges and drivers to transformation
  • Collaborates and builds strong relationships with internal teams and customers
  • Interacts professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers
  • Oversees customer order fulfillment functions, customer order review, order entry, expediting and customer service activities
  • Performs quality work within deadlines
  • Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring (Qualifications & Skills)
  • Bachelor's degree required with a preferred major in Business or related field
  • 12+ years prior experience in Sales and Marketing
  • Aerospace or industrial distribution experience (required)
  • Surplus/material accusation knowledge and aftermarket distribution (required)
  • Sales and Marketing - Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services
  • Have strong sales and organizational skills, be comfortable working independently and be detailed-orientated
  • Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication and relationship building skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Word and Excel)
  • Proven ability to make quick decisions with regarding to pricing and margins for quotes in a fast-paced environment
