Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Director, Professional Relations and Operations to lead Global Professional Relations & Operations for the Orthopedics business, with postings in West Chester PA, Raynham MA, Palm Beach Gardens FL, or Warsaw IN.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA/MS) preferred.
- 10+ years in professional relations, HCP engagement operations, or similar roles in MedTech/life sciences or another regulated industry.
- Proven leadership of global, multi‑region programs and standardization across NA/EMEA/APAC/LATAM.
- Strong ownership of enterprise platforms (event management, CRM, CLM, registration) and experience with global rollouts.
- Demonstrated success running complex workflows spanning contracting, invoicing/payment, and regulatory reporting.
- Track record leading cross‑functional teams and inspiring change at scale.
- Travel: up to 25% (domestic and international) will be required.
Responsibilities
- Define the global strategy, operating model, and governance for HCP engagements across four regions; own roadmap, budget, and critical metrics.
- Partner with HCC and Legal to define global standards and playbooks for needs assessment, contracting, fee-for-service engagements, invoicing/payment, educational grants, charitable contributions, and transfer-of-value reporting.
- North America end-to-end HCP engagement workflow: needs assessment, service request intake, contracting/approvals, onboarding/registration, delivery coordination, invoicing, payment, and post-engagement reporting.
- Lead the North America Educational Grants and Charitable Contributions workflow (tuition/travel grants, grants, fellowship support, charitable activities).
- Lead the global systems portfolio strategy (HCP engagement systems/portals, registration, data lakes); prioritize roadmaps and analytics.
- Lead standardization of global strategy into regional execution and localization, ensuring compliant operations.
- Define Day-1 requirements for separation from J&J MedTech and oversee the transition to DePuy Synthes.
- Oversee global service delivery strategy and vendor management across regions; ensure contracts, SLAs, and performance meet needs.
- Ensure compliance with sunshine/transfer-of-value reporting, anti-bribery, and data privacy; collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Finance.
- Build and lead a global governance structure and partner with senior leaders to influence priorities and resources.

We are seeking a strategic, results oriente senior leader to lead Global Professional Relations & Operations for the Orthopedics business. This role will lead the global HCP engagement lifecycle—from annual needs assessment and service requests through contracting, invoicing/payment, and transfer‑of‑value reporting—and will deliver a unified global systems landscape (HCP engagement system and portal, contract lifecycle management, event management, customer registration, and analytics).
The role also leads the Orthopedics Educational Grants and Charitable Contributions Program. This leader will partner across Commercial, Medical Affairs, R&D, Professional Education, Legal/Compliance/Privacy, Finance, and regional teams to enable consistent, compliant, and scalable interactions with HCPs worldwide, including Day‑1 separation readiness and implementation. Additional responsibilities will include:
- Define the global strategy, operating model, and governance for HCP engagements across four regions; own roadmap, budget, and critical metrics.
- Partner with HCC and Legal to define global standards and playbooks for needs assessment, contracting, fee‑for‑service engagements, invoicing/payment, educational grants, charitable contributions, and transfer‑of‑value reporting.
- Responsible for the North America end‑to‑end HCP engagement workflow: needs assessment, service request intake, contracting/approvals, onboarding/registration, delivery coordination, invoicing, payment, and post‑engagement reporting.
- Ensure clear legal/compliance handoffs and controls for contracting and transfers of value.
- Lead the North America end‑to‑end Educational Grants and Charitable Contributions workflow (e.g., tuition/travel grants, monetary/product/in‑kind educational grants, fellowship support, local charity, medical missions, and indigent patient product contributions).
- Ensure clear legal/compliance handoffs and controls for grants and donations.
- Lead the global systems portfolio strategy (e.g., HCP engagement systems/portals, customer registration, and education/data lakes).
- Prioritize roadmaps, integrations, data model, and vendor relationships to enable one global operating model with local flexibility.
- Define and deliver critical metrics, dashboards, and analytics for effectiveness, compliance, and transfer‑of‑value reporting.
- Lead standardization global strategy and standards into regional execution.
- Harmonize processes, templates, SLAs, and training while leading required localization and differences.
- Define Day‑1 requirements for the Orthopedics separation from J&J MedTech (conveyance, org strategy, data/systems separation, outsourcing model, contract strategy, vendor continuity, and critical process ownership).
- Lead launch execution to stand up Professional Relations & Operations teams and technology in North America, including transition/handover and business continuity.
- Lead global service delivery strategy across centralized and regional teams (needs assessments, contracting, service request processing, invoicing/payment, and transfer‑of‑value reporting).
- Oversee vendor selection, SOWs, performance, and customer concerns.
- Ensure compliance with global and local requirements (sunshine/transfer‑of‑value reporting, anti‑bribery, data privacy).
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, Privacy, and Finance to implement controls and support audits.
- Build and lead a global governance structure, enabling regional execution.
- Represent the function with senior leaders and cross‑functional partners; influence priorities and resourcing.

- PMP, Product Owner/Scrum, Agile, or similar certifications.
- International experience; multilingual capability a plus.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

- Vacation –120 hours per calendar year
