Job Summary

The Sr. Director of Construction is responsible for overseeing Altice USA's Fiber Department, including activities such as new construction, upgrades, fiber to the home, outages, enterprise, planning, and design. This role involves managing commercial, carrier, and residential construction projects across all B2B, HFC, and FTTH sectors. The director ensures project completion according to standards, schedules, budgets, and contractual commitments, providing guidance to Fiber Directors and other personnel to coordinate activities and ensure timely, accurate project delivery across the entire Altice USA footprint.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and enforce standards for efficient design and construction of B2B, HFC, and FTTH projects.
2. Ensure compliance through testing and implementation of new build standards.
3. Oversee all fiber projects, including B2B, municipal, school, commercial, large venue, Wi-Fi, and other special projects, including contractor activities.
4. Implement and monitor reporting systems for activities, schedules, and costs.
5. Develop and manage budgets for expenses, capital, inventory, and labor costs, including preparing reports on actual spend vs. budget.
6. Maintain the integrity of the design mapping system, making necessary adjustments promptly and accurately.
7. Produce monthly reports on SLA performance for various fiber projects.
8. Measure and evaluate the performance of team members and contractors.
9. Collaborate effectively with other departments such as Construction, Engineering, Field Operations, Finance, and Safety to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, a related technical or scientific field, or equivalent experience.
• At least ten years of experience in fiber, HFC, OSP, or FTTH construction design and implementation.
• Minimum five years of leadership experience, including in CATV, VOD, HIS, VOIP engineering.
• Experience with contractual documents and budget management.
• Vendor management experience.
• Expertise in cable television operation and construction procedures.
• Knowledge of management principles and advanced mathematical skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, AutoCAD, Adobe, and Smallworld/PNI.
• Experience with T & E reporting management.
