Job summary

Peraton seeks a Digital Engineer / MBSE Analyst to lead digital-twin planning, development, and integration, shaping concepts, architectures, and model-based artifacts. You will ensure alignment across programs, maintain interoperability, and work with data, AI/ML, software, and systems teams to meet mission goals.

The role emphasizes MBSE excellence, lifecycle engineering, and close collaboration with program teams in a high‑security environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with 10+ years in a Systems Engineering related field, or a bachelor’s with 8+ years, or a master’s with 6+ years; four years can substitute for a degree.
• Candidate must maintain a Top Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI.
• 2+ years MBSE experience in complex system environments.
• Experience across full system lifecycle: analysis, planning, design, development, deployment, integration, testing, or configuration of software.
• Expertise using Cameo Systems Modeler suite.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% for business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical planning and execution of digital‑twin efforts for program objectives.
• Develop digital‑twin concepts, architectures, use cases, and roadmaps with engineering teams.
• Adapt Peraton Labs’ agentic AI and digital‑twin capabilities to program needs.
• Define component‑level requirements from operational needs and system objectives.
• Ensure compatibility with model‑interoperability, data exchange, fidelity, and integration guidance.
• Collaborate with data, AI/ML, software, and systems‑engineering teams to identify data sources and validation methods.
• Identify risks, dependencies, sequencing, and capability gaps in digital‑twin development.
• Align digital‑twin efforts with Model‑Based Systems Engineering practices and stakeholder needs.

Required Qualifications:

• Associates degree and 10+ years of experience in a Systems Engineering related field; OR bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cloud Computing, or related field and 8+ years of experience in a Systems Engineering related field; OR a master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cloud Computing, or related field and 6+ years of experience in a systems engineering related field. Additional four (4) years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
• This position requires the candidate possess a minimum of Top Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI. The candidate must maintain the clearance
• 2+ years of experience applying MBSE in complex system environments.
• Experience developing and supporting systems‑engineering processes across the full system lifecycle, including analysis, planning, design, development, deployment, integration, testing, or configuration of software.
• Expertise using the Cameo Systems Modeler suite of tools.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to support business needs and key stakeholder engagement

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with MBSE validation suites.
• Experience generating documents or specifications directly from MBSE models.
• Experience with MBSE model federation.
• Experience developing MBSE style guides or modeling standards.

As a Digital Engineer / MBSE Analyst, you will support the technical planning, development, and integration of digital‑twin capabilities that advance program goals and mission outcomes. You will help shape concepts, architectures, and model‑based engineering artifacts that ensure digital‑twin solutions are aligned, interoperable, and technically sound across the broader system landscape.

What you’ll do:

• Help lead technical planning and execution of digital‑twin efforts in support of program objectives.
• Support the development of digital‑twin concepts, architectures, use cases, and technical roadmaps in collaboration with engineering and program teams.
• Assist in adapting Peraton Labs’ agentic AI and digital‑twin capabilities to meet program‑specific needs.
• Define component‑level requirements derived from operational needs, systems‑engineering objectives, system behaviors, and stakeholder priorities.
• Ensure compliance with model‑interoperability approaches, data‑exchange patterns, fidelity expectations, and integration guidance across digital‑twin and simulation environments.
• Work with data, AI/ML, software, and systems‑engineering teams to identify and integrate required data sources, dependencies, model inputs and outputs, assumptions, and validation methods.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, sequencing concerns, integration challenges, and capability gaps associated with digital‑twin development.
• Ensure digital‑twin efforts remain aligned with program objectives, Model‑Based Systems Engineering practices, CTO advanced‑analytics initiatives, and stakeholder needs.
