Job summary

Synaptics Inc. seeks a Sr. Digital Engineer for the Interface Products team to design and implement digital circuits for next-generation data and video connectivity ASICs.

Responsibilities include RTL development in Verilog, script-based automation, and integration into CAD environments with emphasis on verification and P&R. You will contribute to silicon debug, performance analysis, and timely delivery in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent.
• 5 years of IC digital design experience.
• Experience writing synthesizable Verilog for ASIC & FPGA design.
• Familiarity with ASIC/FPGA design flow and tools (DC, PT, PrimePower, Formality, Tetramax) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Implement technical specifications, logic designs, verification, synthesis, DFT insertions, and integration of circuits for high-speed serial interface devices.
• Develop RTL for module and chip-level designs using Verilog, Tcl/Make/Python scripts.
• Analyze designs and integrate them into Synaptics ASIC & FPGA development environments using scripts and CAD tools.
• Implement and integrate Memory BIST, Logic Scan, and custom ATE and debug test logic; collaborate with the verification team to write test plans and debug simulations.
• Participate in silicon debug and analysis.
• Complete designs on time that meet all specifications.

This role encompasses architecture, RTL design, debug, implementation, and product support, reporting to the Sr. Manager of Digital Design Engineering.
