Job summary

Daikin Applied in Plymouth, MN is seeking a Sr Digital Applications Developer to evaluate, develop, modify, code, and test software programs with a focus on CAD to support internal programming needs and user support.

Under limited supervision you will analyze, test, and debug applications, document and modify existing programs, or design new logic; you’ll join a larger IT team dedicated to innovation and excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 4 years of experience in software development.
• 2 years of experience in CAD software development.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Supports the design, programming or testing of one or more applications.
• Responsible for creating and maintaining multiple CAD applications.
• Analyze existing programs or formulate logic for new systems, devise logic procedures, prepare flowcharting, and perform coding.
• References and understands application and system documentation to support design, testing or programming efforts without assistance from more experienced IT specialists.
• Documents and reviews programs, including installation and maintenance.
• Develops multiple areas of expertise in installation, design, configuration or specialized testing.
• Applies knowledge of the users’ operations, integration into IT standards and processes, and specialized training in the applications’ use.
• Provides and acts on feedback for possible improvements.
• Works as a member of a larger team of individuals with more advanced skills.
• Assists with the support of less experienced team members.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6+ years’ experience in application and software development
• 4+ years of experience in CAD software development
• Experience with Helix Toolkit

The typical hourly rate for this position ranges from $90,00 to $153,000 (+ 10% bonus) in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
