Position Description

Our Fleet Services Department seeks a Sr Diesel Technician in Miami, FL. The role involves maintaining safe and reliable vehicles and equipment, solving complex electrical, mechanical, fluid, hybrid, or power applications issues. Candidates must hold an active ASE Master Certification in Medium/Heavy Duty Truck.

Job Overview

This role provides safe, reliable vehicles and equipment, troubleshooting complex problems, and sometimes supervising other technicians. It requires following processes, collaborating with teams, and ensuring optimal performance.

Responsibilities
  1. Promote safe working practices
  2. Diagnose faults using engine diagnostic tools
  3. Perform maintenance and repairs
  4. Interpret manuals, blueprints, and drawings
  5. Inspect parts for damage or wear
  6. Order parts and manage inventory
  7. Communicate with vendors and customers regarding vehicle status
  8. Apply logic to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  9. Meet attendance and storm duty requirements
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Valid Driver’s License (Non CDL)
  • Current Medium/Heavy Duty Truck ASE Master Certification
  • Valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement or ability to obtain within 12 months
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree or related certification
  • Additional certifications such as Mobile Crane Inspector, Hydraulic Mechanic, Automotive Air Conditioning
