At Lucid, we are creating exceptional mobility experiences through innovation to drive the world forward. Built on Lucid’s proprietary technology and software-defined vehicle architecture, our award-winning vehicles bring our “Compromise Nothing™” approach to the global automotive market. That means refusing to choose between performance and sustainability, design and engineering, ambition and integrity. In Lucid Air and Lucid Gravity, we have designed and built vehicles that have redefined their segments, combining exceptional range, performance, design, and expansive space in a single experience.

We achieve this through deep vertical integration, with design, engineering, and production happening in-house across our global offices and manufacturing facilities. Our teams come from industries around the world, united by a shared commitment to excellence. By refusing to settle, you can help redefine what’s possible and shape the future of mobility.

The LV Test and Validation team verifies the reliability, electrical performance, and compliance of low-voltage vehicle electronics. The team works with LVEE hardware design engineers and internal and external laboratories to produce decision-ready validation evidence. Its work spans component testing, test automation, failure investigation, and laboratory operations.

Role

As a Sr. Design Validation and Test Technician, you will execute low-voltage component validation and maintain an organized, dependable DVT laboratory. Reporting to the Low-Voltage Test and Validation manager, you will work closely with design engineers and laboratory partners to complete DVP commitments on time. You will combine hands-on execution with disciplined analysis, documentation, and issue closure. Success in the first year means repeatable tests, complete evidence, and timely resolution of issues affecting current and future vehicle programs.

  • Bench and DUT Preparation: Set up test benches and fixtures, instrument devices under test, and execute controlled test procedures.
  • ECU Support: Provide practical engineering support for ECUs, including laboratory equipment use, soldering, and cable assembly.
  • Failure Investigation: Debug failures and anomalies with engineers to identify causes and potential corrective actions.
  • Test Documentation: Maintain rigorous, detail-oriented test records and progress reports that make execution status and results clear.
  • Laboratory Management: Organize and maintain DVT laboratory space, equipment, and inventory to support safe, repeatable testing.
Qualifications
  • AA/AS degree and 5+ years of related experience.
  • Detail-oriented execution of procedures with the ability to work independently under an engineer's direction.
  • Experience with laboratory test equipment including environmental chambers, power supplies, DAQ systems, and oscilloscopes.
  • Soldering and cable assembly experience.
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and documentation tools, plus excellent communication and a team-oriented attitude.
