Job Summary

The Senior Demand Planner is a subject matter expert for Company decision making around demandforecasts and will create and present demand analytics and recommendations. The Senior DemandPlanner is responsible for creating forecast for pre-season and in-season customer demand thatincorporate industry trends and business intelligence data from sales, merchandising, marketing, financeand other sources. This position is responsible for creating and presenting analytics which informforecast direction and inventory decisions for assigned product categories and regions as a part of thecompany Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and other processes. This role monitors demandplanning metrics and process to drive continued improvement in forecast accuracy in the S&OP processand may mentor Demand Planners to meet team objectives.

Essential Functions

Description

  • Operates as a key business partner supporting the Sales & Operations Planning process, in collaboration with key stakeholders and throughhistorical performance analysis.
  • Drives demand planning process improvements and best practices to develop and evolve analytics and improve time-phased forecast accuracywhich enable assigned business category achievement of sales and supplymaintenance within targets.
  • Collaborates with Executive, Sales Planning, Merchandising and other groups to create and refine demand forecasts including an assessment andrecommendations regarding risks, opportunities and considerations.
  • Summarizes and presents data and solicits feedback in forecast and planning meetings to align decisions regarding forecast direction andinventory.
  • Participates and leads internal and cross-functional business process and analytics, continuous improvement efforts, and/or projects.
  • Reviews inventory and available to sell (ATS) levels and creates inventory flow models which support product service goals. May assist DemandPlanners with analysis and data review. Escalates issues and recommendsactions to cross functional partners, manager or executive leadership.
  • Gathers, analyzes and validates demand plan, forecasting accuracy, and trends. Recommends adjustments and apply analysis techniques to improveforecasting.
  • Develops inventory strategies, targets and reporting to monitor obsolete or slow-moving products and ensures proper inventory levels are maintained.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related field required.
  • Minimum five (5) years professional experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain,analytics, and/or related fields. A broad understanding of theapparel/footwear industry and a wholesale marketplace required.

Any equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform theessential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Expert proficiency using Microsoft Excel. High proficiency SQL. Moderate experience using other Microsoft suite applications.
  • Experience with ERP systems; SAP preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations and processes and present recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Proven experience analyzing data through business intelligence and visualization tools to develop forecasts and translate analysis into actionable recommendations. Experience working withstatistical forecasts required.
  • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal & presentation skills with proven impact influencing stakeholders across an organization. Ability to influence senior leaders with analysis andrecommendations.
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize essential tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive in follow-through with business leaders, colleagues, and business partners, including a high degree of self-direction.
  • Ability to travel internationally and domestically.

Base Salary: $92,100.00 - $97,200.00yearly

The salary range posted for this position represents the anticipated hiring range for this role. Offers are made within this range based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, and market considerations. This is the hiring range for the position; compensation above the posted maximum is not typically available at the time of hire.

Work Location: Hybrid

This role is based in the Portland, OR area and follows a hybrid work model. Employees are expected to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of our Portland office and generally work on-site four days per week, with flexibility based on business and team needs.
