The Intersect Group is recruiting a Senior Database Engineer for a hybrid role in Mesa, AZ. You will own the design, performance, and integrity of a high-volume relational data platform powering core transactional products.

This hands-on position leads schema architecture, migrations, and data durability across AWS-based environments while collaborating with software, DevOps, and platform engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of production experience in database engineering or platform administration, with PostgreSQL expertise.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL internals, query plans, partitioning, and locking.
• Experience with cloud DB platforms (AWS Aurora PostgreSQL/RDS) and IaC tools.

Responsibilities

In this hands-on individual contributor role, you will lead schema architecture, migration safety, query optimization, and data durability across a high-volume, multi-tenant AWS environment. You will collaborate closely with software, DevOps, and platform engineering teams to support hundreds of microservices processing shared operational data.
