Job summary

TrustEngine is seeking a Database Administrator to design, manage, and optimize our MySQL database with millions of records. You will collaborate with software engineers and report to the Chief Architect and Research and Data team manager.

Responsibilities include monitoring production performance, tuning slow queries, creating documentation, and using AWS tooling for backups, security, compliance, and disaster recovery. Four to six years of production MySQL experience required.

Qualifications

• Four to six years of experience as a MySQL DBA, including hands-on support of production systems.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to manage your own priorities and meet deadlines with little oversight.

The Database Administrator designs, manages and maintains our primary MySQL database with millions of records and continuously monitors performance and capacity. Our software engineers collaborate with our Database Administrator on design patterns for new data and best practices for database interactions. Our Chief Architect and manager of our Research and Data team will directly manage this teammate; however, work will largely be self-directed in collaboration with company goals.
