Job summary

Itransition Group is seeking an experienced DataBase Administrator to join our team. You will manage and optimize MySQL databases for mission-critical applications, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.

You will collaborate with development teams on schema design and query optimization. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of DBA experience, strong knowledge of backup/recovery, replication, and familiarity with distributed teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of working experience as DataBase Administrator
• Significant experience in using MySQL for mission-critical applications
• In-depth knowledge of MySQL backup/recovery and replication
• Desirable knowledge of MySQL clustering technologies (Galera)
• SQL and query optimisation techniques for diagnosing and preventing performance problems
• Assist development teams with database design and schema modifications
• Expert understanding of high-performance MySQL (>50k QPS)
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, Snowflake and Clickhouse

Job description

We are looking for an experienced DataBase Administrator to join our team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of working experience as DataBase Administrator
• Significant experience in using MySQL for mission-critical applications
• In-depth knowledge of MySQL backup/recovery and replication
• It would be desirable to have a knowledge of MySQL clustering technologies like Galera Cluster
• SQL and query optimising techniques with a demonstrable ability to both diagnose and prevent performance problems
• Assist the development teams with database design and schema modifications
• Expert understanding of high-performance MySQL (>50k QPS)
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, Snowflake and Clickhouse
• Core skills and attributes
• Thrive in a highly collaborative and fast-paced organisation that has office-based, distributed teams and individuals
• Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote workplace

Nice to have

• Experience with GCP (the primary cloud platform) or AWS data products and services
• Knowledge of Ansible
• Experience with Helm
