Job summary

Cornerstone Defense is seeking a Sr. Oracle Database Administrator to support large-scale Oracle environments, including Exadata. The candidate will design, migrate, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise databases while coordinating with security and engineering teams.

The role requires 10+ years of Oracle experience, strong communication, and the ability to work independently to deliver mission-critical database solutions for the defense sector.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Oracle database administration experience (10 - current).
• Extensive experience with database design and modeling, and interpreting customer requirements for migration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Experience with RAC, RMAN backup/recovery, Exadata, Data Guard or DB Vault, and data migration.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior guidance in analysis, design, and optimization of enterprise IT architectures based on customer objectives.
• Combine Oracle best practices with product knowledge to meet complex customer needs.
• Lead efforts to implement innovative Oracle-based solutions with industry-wide impact.

• Description: Sr. Oracle Database Administrator with 10+ years Oracle database administration experience supporting large scale or enterprise level database services.
• Required Skills:
• 10 + years experience administering to, and engineering solutions with Oracle's database (10 - current). Extensive experience with database design and modeling; as well as, the collection and interpretation of customer requirements relevant to database migration, troubleshooting, performance observation and tuning.
• Significant experience with the production and deployment of RAC, RMAN backup & recovery.
• Experience with Oracle Exadata, DB security, Data Guard and / or DB Vault, Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, label security, and data migration.
• BS in CS or related course of study, or equivalent year's experience.
• Must be an independent worker with strong communications skills.
• Qualifications: Senior Practice/Technical Director provides guidance and assistance in the analysis, design, implementation and optimization of enterprise wide complex IT architectures based on customer mission objectives and needs. The Senior Technical Director has extensive experience and background in implementing creative and innovative solutions with significant industry-wide impact. Analyzes customer missions and business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer¿s objectives by combining Oracle best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. Recommends enhancements to meet highly complex customer needs.
