Pay Range

The target annual pay for this position is $125,700 - $153,600, with a full range of $97,400 - $181,800. Compensation is based on skills, experience, and education. Additional performance incentives are also available.

Location Requirements

Candidates must reside in WA, OR, ID, AZ, TX, GA, or SC. If you're in Washington and near Tukwila, we prefer in-office presence on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Remote work is available for those outside this area or in approved locations.

Impact You’ll Make

As a Sr. Data Solutions Engineer, you will shape how BECU transforms data into actionable insights. You will partner with teams and vendors to develop scalable BI solutions, optimize ETL pipelines, dashboards, and data models, and work with tools like Snowflake, Azure, Python, and Tableau.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead BI Platform Strategy: Upgrade and plan the roadmap for BECU’s BI tools.
2. Build & Maintain Data Models: Design scalable data models to empower teams.
3. Collaborate Across Teams: Work with ETL Developers, Data Architects, and Analysts.
4. Manage Vendor Relationships: Oversee deliverables from external vendors.
5. Automate BI Processes: Use tools like Orchestrator and Tableau for automation.
6. Support Internal Users: Provide technical support and enablement.
7. Monitor BI Impact: Track usage, gather feedback, and identify growth areas.
8. Communicate Effectively: Share updates and best practices across all levels.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• At least 7 years in IT Database roles, with 5+ years in BI or related support
• Experience defining and executing BI strategies
• Hands-on with BI automation and visualization tools like Tableau and Orchestrator
• Ability to present architecture visions to executives

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with Databricks and Alteryx
• Knowledge of data governance and enterprise BI environments
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and integration
