Job Title: Remote Senior Data Solutions Engineer (100% Work From Home)

Location: Remote from Latin America

Position Type: Full-time

Salary:$4,500 USD/month

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm MST

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Data Solutions Engineer to lead our data architecture strategy and drive the development of modern, scalable data platforms. The ideal candidate has a Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent experience and deep expertise in data engineering, machine learning, and cloud-native systems.

Responsibilities:

• Data Strategy & Architecture: Define and execute the technical roadmap for data platforms, ensuring scalability, performance, and resilience across analytics, ML, and operational workloads.
• Pipeline Development: Design and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines (e.g., Spark, Airflow, Kafka, Beam) for ingestion, transformation, and delivery across multiple systems.
• Cloud & Infrastructure Engineering: Own infrastructure-as-code and cloud orchestration using tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Machine Learning Enablement: Build and support platforms for model training, deployment, and monitoring using SageMaker, Vertex AI, or custom solutions with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Team Leadership: Mentor data engineers and collaborate cross-functionally with analysts, ML engineers, and product teams.
• Client-Facing Solutions: Translate business needs into robust data solutions and drive client conversations around architecture, performance, and cost optimization.
• Data Governance & Observability: Implement quality checks, lineage tracking, access control, and monitoring tools to ensure reliable, compliant data flows.

Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies::

• Ph.D. or Masters in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent experience
• 5–8+ years in data engineering, ML infrastructure, or data platform roles
• Strong in Python, SQL, and optionally Scala/Java
• Experience with distributed systems and data lakehouse architectures (e.g., Iceberg, Delta, Hudi)
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift
• Experience with modern data stack tools: dbt, Dagster/Airflow, Kafka, Spark, etc.
• Cloud-native expertise (AWS/GCP/Azure) and hands-on experience with Kubernete
• Fluent in English & Spanish
